LinQuest is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in El
Segundo, CA. Sign on and retention bonuses will be considered for applicants

Join a small, hand selected systems engineering team defining the next
generation of space communication systems supporting Space Force Advanced
Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I)
activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will
work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer.

We seek a technical individual who has the initiative to work independently
and will thrive in a highly collaborative environment of small teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and manage the technical requirements baseline with an
    emphasis on satellite communications interface definition
  • Serve as subject matter expert for communications engineering, link
    budgets, waveforms, modulation and error correction coding standards
  • Coordinate and participate in integration testing, analysis and
    reporting for verification of requirements and interface compliance
  • Lead for communication requirements verification artifacts
  • Work with satellite communication users to identify and provide
    solutions to risks and technical discrepancies
  • May require up to 20% travel
Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional
    planning, coordination and task execution across the spectrum of systems
    engineering and integration activities
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, as well as clear and
    concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Technical expertise in communication systems integration, test,
    verification, and validation
  • Proficiency in communications concepts for DoD and/or commercial
    applications, including waveforms, protocols and architectures
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a
    rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of system engineering processes
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Lead analyses for special studies using orbital modeling and/or
    mathematical software tools, e.g. STK and Matlab

Required Experience:

  • BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering, or a related scientific
    or technical discipline
  • Academic emphasis on signal processing or wireless communications
  • 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with satellite communications
Preferred Experience:

  • MS degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on signal
    processing or wireless communications
  • Experience with satellite communications
