We are seeking a Senior Program Management Analyst for our Canoga Park, CA facility (Los Angeles area).
This position is for a Senior Analyst, Program Management in the THAAD & Strategic Systems Program Sector supporting the THAAD DACS Program. This position will report to the THAAD DACS Program Manager. This position will be the primary program representative for the Valve Driver Assembly overseeing production, interfacing with customers, and ensuring effective program execution. The candidate will be responsible for coordination of supporting COE areas and reporting of status to management

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
70% - Direct day to day activity to ensure effective program execution
- Lead the VDA team to ensure high product quality in manufacturing and supporting processes
- Oversee the manufacturing process development for a new avionics supplier, including functional/environmental test procedures and data reporting/analysis, parts and materials traceability verification, inspection plans, and facilitating customer approvals
- Collaborate with functional leads and management to deploy program strategy
- Ensure systems in place to effectively execute production
15% - Perform Cost Account Management function for the Valve Driver Assembly
- Effectively manage and communicate schedule and budget to the team and functional organizations
- Manage assigned accounts reporting performance monthly
- Perform variance reviews and implement corrective actions as required to ensure effective earned value control
- Support customer requests
- Act as lead of all customer and program needs for the Valve Driver Assembly
- Support proposals
- Other program tasks as assigned
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and five (5) or more years related experience in an engineering, product development, manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Aerospace or defense development experience strongly preferred.
Position will require up to 25% travel to customers and suppliers to support program objective.
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of project management within the framework of the Aerojet Rocketdyne Program Management COE including Project Planning, Project Control (Earned Value), Project Execution, Communication, Procurement, and Quality (PMP certification or Project Management certificate a plus).
Knowledge of project management within the defense acquisition environment with specific knowledge of solid or liquid propulsion systems a plus.
Experience in the MDSS program area a plus.
Demonstrated ability in team building and leadership skills to achieve project objectives.
Demonstrated trustworthiness in accomplishing agreed upon tasks.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
Ability to propose, plan, and then execute a project with limited supervision.
Ability to communicate with teammates, managers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficient in the use of all the basic MS Office tools and therefore proficient in computer operating systems, MS Outlook, MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), MS PowerPoint (presentations, storyboard development, logic diagrams), and MS Word (tables, program plans).
Experience with Integrated Master Schedules using knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling tool to create project files for large-size projects is a plus.
Experience in aligning MS Project schedules and Control Account Plans a plus.
Familiar with industry and government/military specifications for Avionics, and EEE parts including PWB's. Understanding of J-STD & IPC Experience developing Electronics manufacturing processes and inspection plans. Proficiency in root cause analysis, corrective action determination, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and inspection processes
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
