About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager to lead Home Preservation and Liquidation Policy.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop a team with oversight and strategic direction of enterprise risk, governance and reporting programs and engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Enterprise Risk
- Identify, support and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development of companywide risk based programs
- Guide and direct in the interpretation of policies and guidelines
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives, interpret and develop policies and procedures for enterprise risk with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Manage direction setting, monitoring and credible challenge for risk reporting , escalation and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding covered compliance
- Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and multiple level managers, interact directly with external customers
- Manage communication and collaboration with business heads, Legal, Audit, and regulators on risk related topics
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Enterprise Risk
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Provide experienced leadership, training, coaching, and mentorship to a team of 10-12 employee. Utilizing strong analytical skills and knowledge of policies and procedures while using available resources to assess impacts to business partners. Responsible for identifying opportunities and develop innovative approaches leading to streamlined and efficient outcomes. Hold project ownership from beginning to end, executing and driving results in a fast paced data focused environment. Build and maintain partnerships across several large multi-functional organizations. Lead simultaneously multiple complex to medium to long range deliverables. Successfully communicate complex policy issues both in verbally and in writing. Ideally, with experience in residential real estate modification and liquidation programs.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Home preservation experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience including coaching, training and mentoring
- Experience with Change Management
- Extensive technical writing skills
- Experience assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures and processes (includes compliance and operational controls within a large complex organization)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
- Credit policy experience, and strong analytic capacity
- Ability to lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
- Ability to build and deliver innovative, industry leading solutions
- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Management experience in an matrixed organization environment
- Experience with residential real estate modification and liquidation programs
