We are looking for a talented Network Support Specialist to join our team for our location in Stoughton, WI .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Works autonomously to provide system operational support ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of IT resources and systems for end users while coaching and developing less experienced IT Support Associates. Must work collaboratively with others.
- Performs IT production support for assigned area(s) according to documented processes.
- Diagnoses and problem solves issues with IT hardware or software components with little or no direction. Requires the ability to install, configure, or disposition IT hardware and/or application issues.
- Troubleshoots assigned issues per department standards to resolution with responsibility to circle back with customer to confirm resolution.
- Uses Incident Management system to manage reported issues or requests submitted by end users and log any actions or support provided. Analyzes data to identify trends and taking necessary action.
- Champions the use of Six Sigma to reduce costs and improve processes. Identifies opportunities for service improvements, discuss with the customer and raise the request for change for assessment if appropriate

Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education. or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Associate Degree, relevant industry training, certification or equivalent experience preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
- This role is responsible for the design, coordination and/or installation, troubleshooting, and repair of data cabling in Intermediate Distribution Facilities (IDF) closets and MDF/data center. Works with 3K, 4K and 9K Cisco platforms, L2& L3 configuration, IOS upgrade, and routing protocols.
- Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment.
- Document network support activities.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers or related equipment.
- Install network commands, including security or firewall software.
- Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for users or user groups.
- Provide support related to networking or connectivity issues. - Troubleshooting devices not connecting, or uplinks that feed a facility such as ATT or Smithville service providers.
- Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes.
- Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function.
- Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment.
- Configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, controllers, multiplexers, or related networking equipment - - Cisco Catalyst and IOS LAN Switches, as well as Cisco Prime Wireless Network Equipment.
- Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems.
- Install or repair network cables, including fiber optic cables.
- Create or update technical documentation for network installations or changes to existing installations.
- Test repaired items to ensure proper operation.
- Install and configure wireless networking equipment.
- Create or revise user instructions, procedures, or manuals.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
