We are looking for a talented CONSTRUCTION STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER to join our team specializing in PURCHASING for our CORPORATE BUSINESS UNIT/CBS BUSINESS SEGMENT in COLUMBUS, IN or your approved hybrid location.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead sourcing projects (bid/analyze/select/contract) and related activities for Indirect Purchasing - Facilities Services Team to help our business operations. This team supports Construction, Facilities, Security, Environmental, and related spend categories
  • Lead or support sourcing categories such as Facility Management services, including supporting US Integrated Facility Management contract to maintain our facilities to a high standard
  • Supporting all aspects of mid-range value capital project sourcing ($1-20M in value) to help Cummins improve and grow its business, engineering and production capabilities, and assigned other categories such as security, environmental, uniforms, office supplies or other facility-related services.
  • Looking for ways to incorporate diversity and sustainability principles into our supply operations

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.
  • At least six (6) years of professional experience in purchasing. Would be desirable with a focus on facilities, capital or related services sourcing.
  • Supplier and stakeholder management experience
  • Negotiating experience with >$1M contracts
  • Understanding of construction design and delivery processes and facility management services (janitorial, equipment maintenance, security, etc) or Integrated facility management (IFM) services.
  • Industry experience in facility management services and/or in construction or renovation projects.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
