We are looking for a talented PURCHASING & SUPPLY CONTINUITY SPECIALIST, SR. to join our team specializing in PURCHASING for our CORPORATE BUSINESS UNIT/SEGMENT in CITY, STATE ABBREVIATION / your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supplier Capacity Management - Leverages Cummins marketing forecast processes and data required from suppliers for capacity planning
  • Supply Base Risk Management - Minimizes supplier risk to Cummins by proactively mitigating risks through use of risk analysis tools and risk mitigation playbook
  • Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary project.
  • Supplier Tooling Management - Manages supplier tooling strategy by noting the impact on Total Value Performance throughout the product life cycle.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in supply chain management or a related subject required.
  • At least three (3) years of professional experience in business, purchasing and supplier performance.
  • Ability to execute complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans with focus on improving supplier overall performance and capacity ahead of demand.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
