The Role:

NFP is looking for a Technical Trainer to join our corporate HR function as part of the organizational effectiveness team. As part of its digital strategy NFP is committed to evolving existing platforms and developing new applications to improve the way we work and deliver great customer experiences.

Working closely with business functions and IT you will be responsible for training end users on a variety of core business applications. These include Salesforce CRM, NFPs custom Agency Management Platform as well as MS collaboration tools. A significant portion of this work will be focused on ensuring new employees are proficient in the use of the technologies that support their work and customer engagement. In additional you will partner with IT and the business to deploy training to support the ongoing evolution of our platform for existing users.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the subject matter expert and trainer of core business technology tools (e.g., Salesforce, Custom Agency management tools and MS Collaboration Tools)
  • Collaborate with business function stakeholders to identify training priorities and strategies leveraging best practices and innovative learning methods
  • Coordinate and execute learning development activities including needs analysis, training approach, schedule, logistical requirements, content development, delivery, and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain technical training materials such as PowerPoints, quick reference guides, FAQs, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT project teams to develop training programs and communications associated with system rollouts upgrades.
  • Attend/facilitate meeting & reporting cadence with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate updates on key milestones
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through evaluation of training programs
  • Participate in lessons learned activities to identify opportunities to improve

Experience and Essential Skills:

  • Extensive, practical experience developing and delivering technology-based training
  • Creative, curious, adaptable and, thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • You see the big picture while at the same time focus on the essential details
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines on time
  • Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
  • You understand the software development lifecycle and have experience partnering with IT to deliver effective end user training
  • High motivation to help others develop their knowledge and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required ?in a related field – adult learning/info tech
  • 3+yrs. experience in technical training development and delivery
  • Insurance Industry experience a plus
