ManTech is seeking a Computer Network Defense (CND)-Service Provider (SP) Incident Responder to provide CND situational awareness, security incident reporting, and attack sensing and warning through fusion, analysis and coordinated information flows for network detection and defense. Locations are in the Washington DC area and San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support government customer in a highly complex cyber security environment  
  • Participates on a team with staff working in a high-pressure environment solving complex operational issues while delivering outstanding results under tight deadlines and constraints
  • Supports incident response functions in support of Government and Contractor facility operations cells, Audit/ Compliance, Detection, Countermeasure and Response functions
  • Serves as technical advisor and subject matter expert for CND Incident Response services.                                                                    
  • Apply knowledge for enterprise incident response as a multi-functional employee with leadership and technical skills including but not limited to the following core IR Cyber Security domains; cybersecurity incident response phase protocols of triage, isolate, contain, recovery and remediate; digital forensics evidence preservation, collection and analysis; incident scope, impact and risk considerations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess DoD 8570.01 CSSP Incident Responder certification (CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CNNA-Security, CHFI, CySA+, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER or PenTest+) – if certification does not exist, willing to obtain one prior to contract start
  • Understands incident response process in accordance with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 6510.01 and other applicable DoD/IC directives and policies
  • Highly familiar with utilization, configuration, and implementation of industry standard cyber defense capabilities including but not limited to web content filters; email security capabilities; IDS; IPS; HBSS; SIEM; Domain Name System (DNS) security practices; advanced log analysis; network monitoring; network flow analysis; packet capture analysis; network proxies; firewalls; anti-virus capabilities; Linux/UNIX command line; or access control lists
  • Highly familiar with malware triage and analysis, system and network forensics, log analysis and evidentiary procedures
  • Understand lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with various levels of senior management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Engineering environment

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance (or active TS with SCI eligibility) with a Polygraph or ability to obtain a Polygraph before starting employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
