POSITIONSUMMARY:

  • The Die Setter Trainee is an entry-level position that assists with performing setups for the Press Room and other areas on the production floor.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Able to set up punch press progressivedies and troubleshoot them as well.

·        Able to perform set-ups on timely basiswith minimum supervision, Minster presses experience a plus.

·        Must be able to perform, but not limitedto, the following tasks: read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, and othermeasuring equipment.

·        Detectsand reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the departmentsupervisor.

·        Maintainsthe work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows allsafety regulations.

]]> EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE:

·        HighSchool diploma or equivalent required.

·        Oneto three years of experience desired in a manufacturing environment.

·        Anyequivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptableby management.

PHYSICALDEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Works primarily in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
  • Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, and reaching
  • PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
