As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Consultant within the Balance Sheet Modeling (BSM) team of PNC's Finance organization, you may be based remotely within PNC's footprint.

This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii, Alaska. In person activities may occur periodically based on business need.

The ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of the business of banking and be comfortable working with technical data processes and statistical modeling.

The candidate should expect to contribute in multiple areas in an effort to continuously improve modeling methodologies and processes, including:
-Contribute toward the model lifecycle process related to PPNR models in development, validation, issue remediation and implementation along with performance monitoring.
-Contribute toward execution of models for use during Bank's stress testing exercise and help management understand model's prediction in the context of LOB expectations and macroeconomic outlook of the economy
-Work closely with various partners in 2LOD and 3LOD
-Build and foster relationship with business partners in LOB and finance to ensure optimal use of quantitative and qualitative processes to support PPNR projections

Job Description

  • Performs complex quantitative analyses and models development to support decision-making by running quantitative strategies.
  • Develops new model frameworks by supporting the line of business. Refines, monitors, and validates existing models. Conducts on-going communication with model owners and model developers during the course of the review. Works with large data to create models.
  • Performs advanced qualitative and quantitative assessments on all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Reviews reports and associated quantitative analysis. Validates existing models and assesses model risks.
  • Evaluates identified model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model.
  • Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance, using applicable templates.
