Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer...

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Enterprise Data Management builds and manages a large consolidation environment for database hosting.  This position is a senior level technical role as an individual and/or team contributor for complex automation solutions related to database automation.  Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.  The successful candidate must be comfortable working on multiple dynamic projects simultaneously, collaborating with database engineers, database architects, application teams, information security teams, and leadership at all levels of the organization. 

The person filling this position must be able to:

  • Works closely with existing database development staff to complete tasks
  • Works closely with database engineering team to understand and document requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot code related problems
  • Ability to work with a team as well as be a self-starter

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

  • 10+ years of software engineering and implementation experience

  • 10+ years of PL/SQL or Javascript experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of relational database architecture, and infrastructure concepts
  • Knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, data modeling
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Translating requirements into code for new or existing solutions and projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with Oracle APEX (Application Express) or React/Flask/Django/Angular JS

  • 10+ years of JavaScript development experience

  • An industry standard technology certification

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Automation experience with GUI development tools
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Experience using the Git version control system
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience with scripting languages such as UNIX Shell Scripting
  • Experience of API development
  • 1+ years with Red Hat Ansible and Playbook development
