The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical to be based at Amberley, Queensland.

As a BDA Aircraft Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining Aircraft systems and servicing requirements. This will include undertaking Aircraft trade activities in support of Wedgetail 737 AEW&C aircraft and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services - Amberley. This will include modification, maintenance, manufacture and/or assembly activities for Aircraft and Aircraft Component maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out maintenance and modifications IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
  • Ensuring that all maintenance activities are incorporated IAW approved processes and procedures.
  • Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of trade level activities, requiring the application of post-trade qualifications and/or experience in the relevant trade category in accordance with the appropriate documentation (planning documents, engineering drawings, and so forth).

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Hold an Aviation Cert IV in Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft maintenance regulatory framework
  • Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)
  • Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
  • Hold a C class driver's license
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an AME within an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Hold a DASA MAML license any aircraft type.
  • Prior experience in the 737 or E7A Wedgetail Aircraft maintenance environment.
  • 737 type training.
  • Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
