Product Engineer - Technical Specialist

Description

We are looking for a talented Product Engineer – Technical Specialist to join our team supporting the Stellantis Ram Truck Program for our Engine Business Segment in Columbus IN. This role is hybrid.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • The engineer would conduct investigations based on signals from warranty trends, lead PPS warranty projects, assist/lead cost reduction projects, and VPCR work as necessary.
  • Leads multiple projects from conception to completion; facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project works with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals, design project plan, develop timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.
  • Product Problem Solving - Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
  • Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Plans and aligns- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analytical Modeling and Test Integration/Optimization - Develops a physics-based understanding of customer duty cycles using real-world collected data representative of the full range of customer usage; compares analytical and experimental results and resolves differences to maintain calibrated analytical models; generates experimental testing plans that deliver optimal analysis and test coverage.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision-making.
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
