Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Staff Supply Chain Planning Specialist-Level 5 to join our team in Melbourne, FL, a team of qualified, dedicated, and diverse professionals designing, developing, building, and supporting some of the world's most advanced products.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Defines and develops material strategies to meet manufacturing timelines and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and influencing the future course of the organization within the program.
  • Assesses supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; and evaluates production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Leads long-term capacity analysis and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
  • Utilizes MRP tools to analyze supply/demand requirements, monitors inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements, and maintains accurate material lead times.
  • Serves as consultant to management and external spokesperson for the organization on policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers by defining and developing material strategy for implementation cross-functionally.
  • Receives and reviews requirements for non-standard parts, assesses and addresses the schedule impact of design revisions, and communicates material position as it relates to production and financial forecasts.
  • Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements. Creates and adjusts requirements and requisitions.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present approaches and findings to senior leadership.
  • Focal point for interdepartmental activity with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supplier Management, and Goods Movement to resolve schedule misalignment, business system constraints and requirement inconsistences.
  • Supports proposal plans and writing assignments.
  • Implements and integrates scheduling systems and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A current active DOD Secret Clearance that has been investigated in the last 5 years
  • Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with data sets including analyzing large data sets
  • Bachelor's Degree with 15 years combined experience in MRP, Advanced Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, or Project Management or a minimum of 13 years combined experience in MRP, Advanced Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, or Project Management with a Master's Degree
  • May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Current NGC Special Program Access
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • 2 years of previous experience leading teams or projects
  • Experienced communicator with ability to present information in an organized and effective manner to program and executive leadership
  • Strong ability to develop and present presentations to senior leadership
  • Experience with the SAP MRP system and Excel spreadsheets
Salary Range: $111,400 USD - $167,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
