Position
Title: Spotter Truck Driver
Department: DOT
Supervisor: Transportation
Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible
for spotting truck loads and unloads for operators in the plant in a timely and
safe manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Compliance
with WestRock safety rules.
Knowledge
of and compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations.
Perform
preventative maintenance according to company PM system and manufacturer’s
specifications.
Troubleshoot
issues with spotter truck and maintain organization in trailer yard
Identify
inbound/outbound customers
Maintain
trailer yard inventory
Source
out contractor assistance
Safely
back trailers in at tight angles.
Attend
daily shift meeting to prioritize and daily tasks and minimize down time.
Actively
participate in plant safety programs and trainings.
Maintain
a safe a clean work area at all times.
Perform
after hour live loads with correct release numbers and weights.
Make
safety a priority at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High
school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
Minimum
of 2 years DOT Class A Licenses
Excellent
problem solving and communication skills.
Team
player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
Must
pass a background check and drug screen.
Alert,
focused and detail oriented.
Physically
and mentally fit.
Must
have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
procedures and equipment manuals.
Must
be willing to work overtime as needed.
Must
be able to maintain good attendance.
Must
be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable
accommodation.
