About this role:

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives, and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Business Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large scale solutions
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
  • Lead team meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
  • Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Enterprise Finance

Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include Corporate Finance; Corporate Controllers, Corporate Treasury; Corporate Development; and Data Management and Insights. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls.

The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant.

The Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant will align to the Head of Business Management Strategy and Operations for the Finance Business Management Office (BMO). This role will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of services and initiatives in support of Enterprise Finance, its leadership team, and the BMO.  

The role will lead the execution of business priorities and the streamlining of processes and routines. The role includes initiatives focused on risk management, strategic planning, operations, technology, and finance. The candidate must develop relationships with strategic partners that work in these areas, as well as peers and executives to align interests and work to achieve set goals. Candidate will execute group strategies, process enhancements, presentations, portfolio reporting, and ad hoc projects. He/she must be a strategic thinker and help guide important initiatives for the team as well as advocate and represent the team's interests.  He/she must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage competing interests in a positive manner.  Additionally, he/she must exhibit maturity, good judgement, and confidentiality as he/she will be privy to restricted information.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive efficiency by understanding cross-Finance needs and implementing solutions.  
  • Manage and produce business communications, senior level presentations, and various administrative functions.  
  • Implement and deliver long-term strategies and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and risk control development and drive change over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to coherently present complex financial topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions
  • Must have sound business judgment, and the ability to challenge business decisions when necessary
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning and execution
  • Experience leading efforts with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
