Seeking a Systems Architect Engineer to be part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and technical readiness of program, network and facility equipment. Provides technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties; manages all program systems, equipment, and components.  Troubleshoot system outages; coordinate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime; notify senior program personnel when anomalies or outages occur; qualify on all applicable equipment; maintain habitability of program spaces; conduct preventive maintenance as required; review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required; provides Critical Information Requirements (CIR) to the chain of command. #LI-MJ1 *MV *TE *CI

What you will do

  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

What you must have

  • Must have 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma/Equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Must have background as a Network Architect.
  • Must have proven capability to design complex network solutions in uncommon environment settings while meeting all DoD policy and customer requirements.
  • Must have experience maintaining LAN and Wan infrastructure. 
  • Must have experience designing and implementing Segment Routing Multiprotocal Label Switching (MPLS) transport network in support of L3VPN services.
  • Must have experience with Multi-Area Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Loop prevention. 
  • Must have experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) related to some or all of the following; VPNv4 Address Family, IPv4 Unicast Address Family, Redistribution of other routing protocols, Loop Prevention, iBGP. 
  • Must have an active DoD Top secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials

Preferred: Bonus points for...

  • Skilled trainer and willingness to pass on all knowledge preferred
  • Experience with VTC network and equipment. 
  • Experience conducting quality assurance policies/practices 
  • Proficiency with CISCO UCS and Hyperflex servers a plus

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
