  • Make an Impact! The Oncology Clinical Research Program Manager oversees all aspects of clinical trials for the Oncology clinical research program.  This position functions independently to lead a team of clinical research support staff to activate and implement studies.  Advises and supports Clinical Research Center leadership regarding clinical research operations, regulatory compliance, process improvement and training activities.  Based in the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, this position oversees staffing, operations and regulatory activities across four hospitals:  Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital.  Key duties include: 
    • Manage, hire and train staff; devise staffing plans; conduct coaching and performance assessments
    • Establish and implement policies and procedures related to process improvement, regulatory compliance, research billing compliance, protocol compliance, patient safety and quality assurance
    • Data management; develop and implement tools for data capture and reporting into the clinical trials management system, electronic medical record and other databases; generate reports
    • Relationship building and communications; serve as a primary internal liaison with clinical research staff, providers, pharmacy, finance, clinic staff, compliance and administration; serve as a primary external liaison with sponsors, vendors and auditors
    • Oversee study activation, implementation and close-out; assess feasibility; facilitate scientific review; oversee regulatory submissions; prepare and track budgets; help study teams draft study tools; assign personnel to studies; oversee study builds in the clinical trials management system and electronic medical record; monitor team progress and troubleshoot as needed  
    • Other duties as assigned

Position: Clinical Research Program Manager
Shift: Day Shift

  • Experience:
    Seven (7) years’ experience in clinical research required, preferably with some oncology  experience.
  • Management experience preferred with reporting and oversight responsibilities and demonstration of project management skills.
  • Excellent technological proficiency in utilizing multiple e-based tools: Office365/SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) tools, web-based communication technologies (e.g. Zoom, BlueJeans, GoToMeeting), navigating websites, and/or experience in complex databases and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred
