About this role:

Wells Fargo has multiple openings in our Commercial and Corporate Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) group for Lead Systems Architects.  The Lead Systems Architect will provide architecture direction on Commercial Lending platforms supporting  Commercial Banking and Corporate Investment Banking business groups. This role will apart of the CCIBT architecture team within Enterprise Architecture in the Chief Technology Office.  Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role:

  • This Lead Systems Architect will partner closely with Commercial Lending Technology executives  and various Lines of Business and Technology teams as well as other Commercial Lending Architects and Engineering Leads for key interfacing platforms.  

  • Develop strategy and solutions architecture for Commercial Lending platforms while identifying architecture modernization and simplification opportunities.

  • Responsible for Product Architecture for an assigned portfolio of applications and the associated business-technology strategies.

  • Will exhibit leadership to drive a product vision, translate business demands to product capabilities and develops a target architecture roadmap that supports consumer/client consumption while working with Product Owners and Product Managers. 

  • Responsible for describing the solution context and solution intent, analyze technical trade-offs, determine the primary components and subsystems, identify the interfaces and collaborations between them, define nonfunctional requirements (NFRs), and guide enablers through the program and solution Kanban systems.

  • Participates in Product Backlog refinement, prioritization, pre-planning event, working with the product manager and stakeholders to define the architectural approach, capability roadmap, and high-level objectives for the roadmap. 

  • Drives continuous planning, develops and reviews required ArchSpec and adheres to the governance process. Works with third parties, making sure the technical characteristics for third party-delivered capabilities are understood and assisting with the architectural integration of these concerns.

  • Responsible for producing the Architecture deliverables for a Product Architecture, Product Technology Roadmap, Architecture Specifications and establishing a modernization roadmap in partnership with the product manager as relevant. Will create architecture that drives towards simplification, enterprise grade, build to consume solutions that drive enterprise rationalization. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning

  • 2+ years of experience creating strategy

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience and training in Cloud, Data, DevSecOps, Domain Driven Design, Archimate, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF) fundamentals.

  • Understanding of the agile methodology

  • Commercial Lending domain knowledge.

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Good understanding of loan life cycle such as loan origination, underwriting, portfolio management, collateral management, loan accounting servicing.

  • Experience designing end to end technical solutions

  • Architecture for banking applications using Java/.NET technology hosting on public/hybrid cloud and traditional platforms.

  • Integration architecture such as API using Apigee, in streaming/event based architecture such as Kafka.

  • Knowledge on Product Thinking , Research and Analysis , Research and Analysis, Financial Analysis and Road mapping.

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with Senior Business LOB stakeholders, technology leadership.

    Pay Range

    $111,100.00 - $197,500.00 Annual
