About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Architect focused on Payments and Global Treasury Management within the Enterprise Architecture organization. This role will perform Product Architecture and exhibit leadership to drive a product vision, translate business demands to product capabilities and develops a target architecture roadmap.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the product manager and stakeholders to define the architectural approach, capability roadmap, and high-level objectives for the modernization roadmap.  

  • Describe the solution context and solution intent, analyze technical trade-offs, determine the primary components and subsystems, identify the interfaces and collaborations between them, and define non functional requirements (NFRs).

  • Drives continuous planning, develop and review required ArchSpec and adheres to the governance process.

  • Work with third parties, making sure the technical characteristics for third party-delivered capabilities are understood and assisting with the architectural integration of these concerns.

  • Create architecture that drives towards simplification, enterprise grade, build to consume solutions that drive enterprise rationalization. 

  • Responsible for communicating Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and application teams, directing implementation of said architecture;

  • Acts in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of application architectures for Payments and Global Treasury Management, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Architecture

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with payment systems

  • Experience in streaming/event based architecture such as Kafka

  • 2+ years of experience creating strategy

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns, DDD and RESTFul Architecture

  • 5+ years of experience working within Agile software development teams;

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups

  • Experience with Cloud, Data, DevSecOps, Domain Driven Design, Archimate, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF) fundamentals.

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Ability to develop roadmaps and plans that enable strategies

  • Experience with one or more Banking Lines of Business

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay Range

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00 Annual
