Job Summary:

****Position is contingent upon contract award*****

***Position will be based out of Springfield, VA****
  • Coordinates with different locations to forecast yearly requirements.
  • Analyze all available data to improve requirements gathering, understanding of pricing, and purchasing decisions.
  • Performs strategic planning on acquisition approaches, especially for complex and first-time procurements. Participates in the structuring of RFPs for complex and technology procurements and develops RFP and contract documentation.
  • Develops the requisite planning and justification documentation for approval of procurements, and supports and defends the procurement to approval authorities.
  • Coordinates with procurement specialists, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely processing and tracking of documents and final delivery of product as they move through the acquisition process. Incorporates changes into existing documentation. Maintains contract files for procurement requests, funding documents, formal orders and contracts, and all official correspondence.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 2 years with a bachelor's degree or 6 years with a High School Diploma.
  • BA and a Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Service Operations and Order Fulfillment environment.
  • Data entry skills, experience, and knowledge of using a computer and keyboarding are required.
  • Ability to direct, coach, support, and delegate and maintain morale.
  • Quick learner with a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with multiple ERP and CRMs.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to always maintain an upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to manufacturing or distribution
