ASE is seeking an experienced Service Center Manager (IT). Candidate manages helpdesk team activities, provides guidance, reviews requests, and manages priorities for competing requests.

The Service Center Manager (IT) :
  • Creates and manages accounts in Active Directory, Exchange, and supporting a video conferencing system.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite of applications, advanced knowledge of Macintosh and Linux platforms, and knowledge of network configurations: LAN, WLAN, Wireless, VPN, and VLAN.
  • Evaluates vendor submittals and develops purchasing requisitions.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in server side network configurations, patch cabling, and other network related tasks.
  • Manages helpdesk activities.
  • Undertakes special projects, and tasks as assigned by department manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, both written and verbally.
  • Must possess organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks among many competing requests.
  • Ability to work in teams and in a team environment.
  • Must have recent directly related experience in management of Service Desk/Helpdesk team
  • Experience in a technical role, juggling multiple concurrent projects, and prioritizing work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain base access
  • DOE NTC experience desired
  • DOE Q Clearance required
