Senior Control Management Specialist/Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) Coordination - Military Veterans

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist to coordinate front line (Evidence Based Control Evaluation) and second line control testing (Independent Testing & Validation) activities, in partnership with the Line of Business, for Global Treasury Management.

Responsibilities include coordinating with LOB and Control partners on control testing activities related to RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) and Compliance requirements. Proactively consult with process owners and control owners on testing expectations. Maintain a comprehensive testing schedule and routinely communicate the schedule to key partners. Provide status updates on in-progress testing reviews. Support all phases of the testing lifecycle including review planning deliverables, testing requests, and reporting. Advise testing partners and LOB partners on effective testing strategies based on the control under review.  

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames

  • Ability to articulate and document complex concepts in a clear, concise manner

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across a large number of stakeholders

  • RCSA expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Treasury Management, including the products, operations, processes

  • Prior audit / compliance testing, review coordination, or risk assessment experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of project coordination or support – for EBCE & T&V coordination role

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Advanced risk assessment skills including expertise on control design and assessment

  • Familiarity with risk applicable to Commercial Banking and Treasury Management LOBs
