LinQuest is seeking Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. An active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required.


  • Work with small teams of analysts to conduct analytic efforts for the DoD.
  • Collect, categorize, maintain, and analyze data using a range of quantitative techniques.
  • Perform analysis to address specific questions, problem statements, or objectives.
  • Apply operations research and statistical techniques across a range of military functions.
  • Define problems, identify performance measures, and perform gap and root cause analysis.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Computer Science/Engineering or other technical degree requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics to include calculus
  • At least 3 years of operations research/data science experience
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with modeling and simulation environments and tools
  • Experience in the research, analysis, and applications of operations research techniques to multiple problem types
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Scripting language programming
  • Proficiency with R forstatistical analysis
  • Application of operations research techniques
  • Design of experiments
  • Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performance team
  • An active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • PhD in operations research or other quantitative discipline
  • 6+ yearsof operations research/data science experience
  • Experience within the DoD or as a Defense Contractor working as an analyst
  • Proficiency with AFSIM, ITASE, NGTS, or other mission/campaign simulation environments
  • Database query languages
  • Ability to coordinate with government managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives
  • Understanding of military operations, planning, and analysis approaches

  • An active DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation:Starting salary ranges from $100,000 to $165,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
