The Channel Sales Representative is a key role in the Tridium organization that provides support and management of assigned systems distributor (SD), system integrator (SI), and key account relationships, resulting in mutually profitable growth. The Channel Sales Representative works closely with cross-functional team members to market the Tridium portfolio of products, drive channel partnerships, create new business opportunities, and generate demand to be filled by the channel. This role supports SD/SI partners in sales visits and opportunity management and participates in VoC and beta testing programs in support of the Product Marketing organization. This position requires a highly motivated, self-confident individual of the highest integrity who possesses a wide range of knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position requires an individual who can build enduring relationships, act as a trusted advisor and business consultant, and coach the field-based technical sales efforts of our channel partner teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet/exceed revenue plan
  • Develop and accept responsibility for strategies to meet/exceed key growth initiatives and close gaps
  • Develop mutual action plans with assigned channel partners
  • Conduct regular business reviews
  • Ensure product training and new product introductions are regularly provided to assigned accounts
  • Facilitate new product introductions, training, and promotional initiatives
  • Co-develop and lead demand generation activities


  • Post-secondary education or associate degree in an HVAC-specific discipline.
  • 5 years of technical channel sales management experience


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience selling building automation and control systems or related software
  • A broad knowledge of sales principles and best practices
  • Experience with Distribution channel management
  • Experience with demand generation/prospecting
  • Experience with SalesForce.com and CRM methodology
  • Technical or Engineering exposure
  • Advanced public speaking and virtual presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities
