During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2022-23 academic year the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of Cinema & Media Studies may have part-time teaching opportunities for courses that count toward the Media Arts Data and Design minor. We seek courses in areas that include comparative media studies (e.g., video games and music, television and cinema, etc.); history of computational and digital media; race, gender, and sexuality in gaming; television studies; and transnational media studies. We also seek studio-oriented courses in areas that include virtual reality production, augmented reality development, networked media creation, game design, and programming for Unity game development.  Further information about the Program on Media Arts and Design can be found in the University of Chicago's College Catalog, http://collegecatalog.uchicago.edu/thecollege/MediaArtsandDesign/   Responsibilities will include preparing lecture- and/or workshop-style classes, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparation and grading of assignments and testing materials.  Qualifications are a BA/BFA, MA/MFA, or PhD in a related field, or at least the equivalent of one year of experience teaching at the university or post-secondary level.  Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In 2022-23, the minimum per-course salary is $7,319.
