Boston University Arts & Sciences seeks a full-time Communications and Marketing Associate to join its growing communications team. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Communications and working collaboratively with staff in departments, centers, and institutes throughout the College, the Communications and Marketing Associate will be responsible for website content, social media management, and email marketing campaigns, helping to promote the Colleges strategic priorities; to showcase Arts & Science faculty research, academic programs, and undergraduate and graduate student experiences; to build engagement with and connection to the College brand; and to demonstrate the power of a liberal arts and sciences education. This position will also have the opportunity to produce written and video content, to create posts/graphics, and support the production of the Annual Report and other College publications. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications or marketing professional with an interest in academia, a passion for storytelling, and a familiarity with the latest digital marketing tools. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, and/ or a liberal arts and sciences background, with 3 to 5 years related work experience. Strong writing and editing skills. Experience using social media and email marketing tools. Excellent project management skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects, and complete tasks on time within a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, Adobe Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) preferred. Photography/videography and graphic design skills a plus.
