Requisition Number: 2022-187 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Biochem and Molecular Biology 50000510 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: A postdoctoral position currently available in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center focused on cancer biomarkers developments and colon cancer. The potential candidate is expected to perform various cell and molecular biology techniques, in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the contribution of mucin in colon cancer and the development of biomarkers for diagnostics. He/she will investigate the involvement of mucin in colon cancer growth, metastasis, and therapy resistance and how targeting these mucins will be beneficial for the patients. Required Qualifications: A postdoc applicant should have a PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical, or Life sciences. Supplemental Qualifications: Extensive experience in cell culture, 3D culture, drug screening, and fluorescent microscopy. A prior experience in molecular and cancer biology. A candidate should have publications as the first author in peer-reviewed journals. Salary Range: Salary Commensurate with Experience
