TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE 1 , McGovern Institute for Brain Research- Feng Lab (2 openings), to join a team studying neurobiological mechanisms of brain disorders that will lead to effective treatment. Will use a variety of molecular, cellular, genetic, and imaging approaches, especially single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNAseq) and fluorescence in-situ hybridization, to assist in profiling neural cell types across neurodevelopment and model species; be immersed in both the wet lab and the computational aspects of snRNAseq and FISH experiments; and be involved in other aspects of research projects, including data collection, data analysis, project and collaboration management, and manuscript preparation. Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, bioengineering, computer science, or related field; at least two years of research experience in a related area; knowledge of molecular biology techniques and basic neuroscience and neurodevelopment; extensive training and experience in molecular and cellular methods, microscopy, image and numerical data analysis, and coding in Python; self-motivation; and strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
