What You Will Do: Your primary role is to assist prospective undergraduate students (new and transfer) by providing timely and accurate information about the college admissions process and other areas of the institution including academic programs, student life, university housing, scholarships and financial aid. You will represent the University of Iowa at various on and off-campus student recruitment events and will build positive working relationships with prospective students and their families, high school counselors, community-based organization leaders, independent college counselors and others involved in the college search process. You are the primary point of contact for prospective students in designated geographic areas and will proactively seek opportunities for outreach and engagement with students in these areas. You support other admissions led initiatives including on-campus open houses, daily campus visits, and off-campus outreach programs along with providing coverage for incoming phone calls, student appointments and walk-in visitors. *Iowa City is the home office location for the campus role. Des Moines is the home office location for the Des Moines Rep. Key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to): Manage assigned recruitment territory in order to meet enrollment goals. This includes planning, executing, and evaluating recruitment activities and events (high school visits, college fairs, on- and off-campus events, direct outreach and communication). Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective and admitted students and families, high school counselors, independent counselors, community college advisors, educational agencies, and other individuals involved in the college search process. Counsel and advise prospective students through the college search process by providing timely and accurate information. Utilize data tools to actively monitor territory analytics, provide reports and activity updates, and recommend appropriate strategies and tactics to achieve enrollment goals.
