Job Description: The Operations Specialist for the School of Architecture ( SOA ) supports faculty, staff, students, and University constituencies while analyzing and organizing office operations.  Responsible for the management and implementation of programs and major events, and School facilities.  Required to liaison with colleagues in safety, security, custodial and maintenance divisions of the University, keeping multiple building footprints operational.  Advises the School executive team on all University deadlines and events; continually reviews and recommends improvements and monitors their implementation; establishes work priorities; delegates duties, oversees work products, evaluates and provides direction to students and University employees; and informs the School executive team on needs, problems, and changes.  Responsible for ensuring that University resources are used in accordance with all University policies and procedures.  Provides support for logistical aspects of events, financial matters related to student payroll, purchases related to sponsored and School projects, expense reimbursements.  Required to take initiative; be creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, an excellent communicator; and have the capacity to build and maintain relationships within the School and across the University.
