UOP Limited, based in Bracknell UK, has an opening for a Project Sales Manager - Aftermarket Equipment (‘PSM – AE’) in the Europe, Africa and Central Asia region.

The PSM-AE will be accountable for growing the aftermarket equipment through strategic and systematic prospecting to build pipeline, developing opportunities and closing sales, with focus on process equipment and control systems (PECS).  The aftermarket for process equipment includes trays and tubes with the control system on upgrades and retrofits of installed systems.  The PSM-AE will need to effectively work the matrix organization to leverage support from the Account Managers pertaining to where the aftermarket equipment opportunities arise.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a career in Technology Sales, Marketing, Business Management and other Business Development roles.

Position responsibilities include:

·       Growing pipeline and delivering on assigned sales targets (bookings) are key expectations for the PSM – AE role.

·       Develop and execute an MOS to ensure systematic engagement with the Account Management team to ensure Account Teams and Account Plans properly consider how to position aftermarket equipment opportunities with customers.

·       Maintaining accurate Business Forecasts in SFDC with focus on project close dates, accurate probabilities for UOP success (including "call") and accurate representation of expected UOP fees. Maintaining an accurate forecast is one of the key elements of the role.

·       Fostering relations with internal stakeholders and external customers at the working and senior leadership levels to grow UOP business. Relationships will be a key element for personal and UOP success.

·       Growing the pipeline of opportunities by leveraging a combination of relationships; solution selling skills; and value selling through a knowledge of UOP's offerings.

·       Leading the project opportunity through prospecting, value proposition development to closure by developing and executing sound commercial and technical sales strategies.

·       Prepare commercial proposals with the assistance from the relevant stakeholders.

·       Preparation, negotiation, closure of non disclosure and sales (equipment supply) agreements

·       Ensure up to date knowledge of UOP’s portfolio to identify project opportunities.

·       Participate and present at Industry seminars and conferences.

·       Develop and communicate intelligence concerning customers; customer segments; competitors and UOP's produce/service performance to support market analysis and planning activities


·       BSc Chemical Engineering preferred. BSc Mechanical Engineering and instrument/electrical would be considered

·       Extensive experience in the petrochemical, gas or refining industry.


·       A desire to pursue a long-term career in commercial sales and/or business management

·       Industry knowledge and/or sales experience in the refining, petrochemical, midstream, natural gas and/or renewables arena(s) is highly valued.

·       Ability to probe and listen for opportunities and customer needs.

·       Ability to translate the benefits of UOP technologies (solution) to a specific customer application (need).

·       Ability to travel up to 40%

·       Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

·       Ability to influence diverse groups

·       Ability to exercise independent judgment

·       Excellent team and communication skills

·       MBA highly valued
