Under general supervision, the coder performs in-depth complex daily CPT, HCPC and ICD10 coding of inpatient, outpatient and clinical charge documents received from physicians for Anesthesiology , Pain Management and Critical Care procedures. The coder is responsible to accurately interpret notes/diagnoses and to convert them into CPT/HCPC/ICD10 codes as appropriate in order to fully capture all billable services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Must have three (3) years of comparable coding experience. Strong skills in CPT, ASA, ICD-10 and HCPC coding applications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Anesthesia, Pain Management and Critical Care Coding experience. CANPC certification. Experience with Epic. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
