ManTech needs you to lead operations for a large US Government Cyber Incident Response Team.  This position will allow you to mentor and lead a critical mission group that focuses on expertise, urgency, and communication.  This technical, hands-on opportunity will allow you to be a critical stakeholder in advancing the nation's information security posture.  Monday - Friday with core hours.   At ManTech, you'll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The SOC Lead will support contract performs duties including:

• Manage a multi-shift team responsible for threat detection and response

• Support the CIRT Manager in developing or revising procedures

• Develop live fire and tabletop exercises to sharpen the skills within your team

• Participate in inter-agency relationships with partner organizations to facilitate mission execution

• Innovate creative solutions to challenging problems

• Develop and oversee execution of training/development programs

• Communicate deficiencies within the operation related to procedure, skillsets, tools, and/or personalities to program and customer leadership, while proposing and adopting solutions

• Mentor team on technical tradecraft and career development

• Interview and provide hiring recommendations to program management

• Develop and analyze KPI metrics to help illuminate effectiveness and quantify success

• Perform as SOC subject matter expert for customer leadership, contract management, and onsite personnel.

Basic Quals:

•  Requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

•  Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.

•  Must have demonstrated expertise leading a team

•  Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Cyber Security, InfoSec, Security Engineering, Network Engineering with emphasis in cyber security issues and operations, computer incident response, systems architecture, data management

Required Tools:

Familiarity with the following classes of enterprise cyber defense technologies:

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

• Network Detection and Response (NDR)

• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

• Network and Host Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)

• Network and Host malware detection and prevention

• Network and Host forensic applications

• Web/Email gateway security technologies

• SOAR

• Cloud platforms

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, Yara, Snort, or similar languages

Required Certifications:

DOD 8570 IAT Level II or CSSP-IR

CEH or CISSP (Preferred)
