The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing an overall social media strategy to support Keck Medicine of USC. This strategy includes an evaluation followed by articulating goals, drafting policies, audience growth, engagement, focused messaging, identifying KPIs and a plan that will support multiple social media initiatives already on-going within the organization. Day-to-day activities include maintaining content calendars, developing and posting original content, leveraging current digital assets, audit existing social channels and developing and/or participating in the process of responding to both positive and negative comments. Minimum Education:â?¢Bachelor's degree in new media/digital journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field â?? preferredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â?¢3+ years' experience in social media and content marketing within a large organization or agencyâ?¢3+ years in social media content creation, digital journalism and communicationsâ?¢Examples of successful social media communities and digital assets of brands or organizations candidate has recently managed.â?¢In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.) and how they can be deployed.â?¢Experience in monitoring on review platforms such as Yelp, Google. Facebook. etcâ?¢Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and time management with on-time delivery is critical to successâ?¢Experience in social media analytics and Google Analyticsâ?¢Experience utilizing social media tools for sentiment analysis and reputation managementâ?¢3+ years' experience in paid social media campaignsRequired License/Certification:â?¢Valid California state driverâ??s license.â?¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
