The Tippie College of Business seeks candidates for an Assistant Director in their Undergraduate Program Office. The position is responsible for the strategic management of a portfolio of programs that encourage Tippie students to develop a global mindset. The portfolio includes study abroad, virtual study abroad experiences, exchange programs, and international student support. Responsibilities will require occasional time outside the 8:00am to 5:00pm workday to support student activities and events. This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus and remote work. Specific Job Duties and Tasks Collaborate with college, university, and campus partners to develop, promote, and implement programs and initiatives including Tippie faculty-led programs, reciprocal exchange programs, virtual study abroad programs, and global internship programs. Plan, design, and implement educational programs and events to strategically promote study abroad for Tippie College and prebusiness students (Study Abroad 101, fairs, panels, etc.). Develop strategic recommendations for Study Abroad and international opportunities to the learning objectives of the Tippie RISE requirement. Monitor the academic, career, and personal goals of Tippie students to develop or promote available study abroad programs for targeted audiences. Develop a strategic communication plan to build awareness about global programs and international education in the Tippie community. Train new staff about study abroad advising and provide periodic updates about study abroad to UPO staff. Compile reports about Study Abroad component of Tippie RISE and make recommendations to meet student demands. Work with program providers and faculty in the development of study abroad programs including faculty-led programs, student exchange programs and to develop and renew program contracts in consultation with the Office for Study Abroad. Serve as liaison with CIMBA, Study Abroad, and third-party program providers. Plan and monitor budget for ambassadors. Required Qualifications Typically 1 to 3 years in a student services role supporting undergraduate success such as academic advising, academic support and retention, residence life, admission counseling, study abroad advising, career advising, student life or similar. Experience fostering and promoting values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Working knowledge of and experience in program management and/or event planning and execution. Expert knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and large groups both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Desired Qualifications Master's degree in business, student affairs or a related field. Experience as a participant in a study abroad experience as a student. Reasonable experience with planning, implementing, and assessing study abroad programs and their impact. Reasonable experience working individually with undergraduate students in an ongoing advising or mentoring capacity.
