Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35   Position Summary Will be primarily responsible for assisting the Clinical Co-Director and Clinical Research Team. This team is involved in the analysis of outcomes of the clinical programs as well as conduct of multi-center and investigator-initiated studies involving screening, prevention and treatment of diabetes. Training will be provided to ensure the Research Specialist has the essential skills and required certifications for conduct of the work. Responsibilities Responsible for conducting abstractions from the electronic medical record, literature searches, data management, recruiting participants, obtaining consents, maintaining files, scheduling and conducting study visits, interviews and in-person and remote meetings, maintaining data collection files, assisting with data analysis and generating correspondence, reports and graphics and IRB submissions Helps in the conduct of study visits including physical assessments, questionnaires, and metabolic testing The Research Specialist helps coordinate and attends community, outreach and fundraising events on weekends and evenings as needed Works collaboratively with all other members of the Berrie Center diabetes team and performs other tasks as requested Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and two years related experience. Candidate can be in a post baccalaureate program for medical school. Minimum of 2 years tenure in position required. Clinical research experience a plus.   Comfortable working with children as well as adults.
