Mgr - Finance Business Support - Consumer and Small Business Deposits Business Cases and Profitability - Military Veterans

Job Description:

The Deposits & Payments Horizontal team is part of the Consumer/Global Wealth Management (GWIM) CFO organization and is responsible for providing financial support and strategic analysis. The team delivers comprehensive financial support to Consumer, Small Business and GWIM related Checking/Savings Accounts, Balances & NII, Service Charges, and Debit Card/Payments BFO and LOB teams. The team engages with other CFO teams and multiple corporate partners to produce corporate financial deliverables, key metric reporting, business reviews, and the overall support of strategic decisions that drive responsible growth for our bank. Our business partners may include the Line of Business, Business Financial Officers, Enterprise Stress Testing team, Marketing, and Risk, among others.

The focus of this specific role is to support Consumer and Small Business profitability projections, business cases and strategic initiatives related to various Deposit products. This teammate will work directly with Line of Business, BFO, channel and other CFO partners to provide analytical and business case support for strategic initiatives and will be responsible for developing forecasts utilizing existing models as well as measuring performance vs. forecast. Throughout the tenure of this role, the teammate will gain exposure to the Deposits products and key strategies utilized to drive growth as well as gain exposure to all Consumer and Small Business banking products supported by larger team while improving/developing the following skills: financial and business acumen, attention to detail, analytical and strategic thinking, planning and forecasting, financial modeling, communication/relationship management and investment prioritization.

The teammate is expected to become the subject matter expert for their respective area of focus and interact directly with the Consumer Products and Small Business BFOs, other CFO partners (e.g. expenses/channel partners), and Line of Business, Marketing, or Risk partners. The individual is expected to be a self-starter and critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to act as a team lead, directing the work efforts of others.

Required Skills/Experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of business support, finance and/or analytical work experience within the financial services industry
  • Understanding of financial statements (P&L, cash flows, balance sheets)
  • Demonstrates a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to learn and integrate new technologies
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills and be able to work independently
