Project Manager, Stony Brook Foundation Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Four (4) years of full-time program or project management experience. Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and Google products. Experience in a large, complex organization and fast paced environment, managing multiple projects, and deadlines. Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements. Proven track record of successfully owning program strategy, end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership. Preferred Qualifications: Additional years (5+) of project management experience. Knowledge related to advanced technologies and/or cloud computing capabilities. Data management experience and experience working with financial data in a not-for-profit organization or the IT industry. Preferred certifications include (but are not limited to), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum and Lean Six Sigma. Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent will plan, organize, and lead in the coordination, development and implementation of projects, programs and strategic initiatives to meet the goals of the Stony Brook Foundation and the overall Advancement team. They will work closely with leadership to ensure timely completion of projects and initiatives. The incumbent will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successfully working with a wide array of functional groups across an organization as well as working independently. The successful incumbent will have a proven record in driving coalitions, strong communication and writing skills; and the ability to articulate and deliver measurable outcomes. Responsibilities include developing strategies and implementing programs that will activate internal and external stakeholders in order to bring forth solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties: Designs program infrastructure, processes, and defines metrics of success. Establishes and implements project management processes for the Stony Brook Foundation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet customer expectations. Prepares project plans and maintains and communicates project scope, goals, requirements and deliverables. Maintains ongoing interaction and follow-up with stakeholders externally and across campus to understand how to best serve the University's needs in working with the Stony Brook Foundation. Maintains overall IT infrastructure for the Stony Brook Foundation, and identifies and prioritizes opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve goals of the organization. Partners with colleagues in IT to ensure seamless operations and integration with new and other systems. Coordinates IT and non-IT resources to consistently deliver high quality products and services on-time and within budget. Develops and manages project schedules and portfolio planning to support key deliverables. Interfaces on behalf of the Stony Brook Foundation with vendors, central university IT staff, and other parties as needed, regarding specific projects and potential systems applications needs. Interpret these needs and make recommendations to the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Monitors the performance and ensures continuous maintenance of installed systems and prepares recommendations for improvements and enhancements. Participate and provide technical assistance in special projects within Advancement. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission. Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
