Position Summary

The business analyst will be responsible for defining and documenting product requirements - Ensuring user stories are ready, backlog grooming, and writing stories acceptance criteria.


As the business analyst, you will be responsible for understanding the business functions of the product and authoring detailed stories and requirements for agile engineering teams. You will be responsible for documenting requirements that are clear, buildable, orthogonal, testable, and based on detailed designs. You will serve as product owner proxy and have the opportunity to work within a fast-paced agile environment with industry-leading design and engineering teams. You will have an ownership mindset with the ability to make analytical, logical decisions that improve the quality of requirements and products. You will collaborate closely with an agile team that includes a scrum master, designers, developers, and a quality assurance team. You will have healthcare domain mastery, demonstrate domain mastery in sprint reviews, and serve as the point of contact that interacts with the scrum teams and accepts or rejects work products from engineering.

Critical Skills & Experience
  • Must have experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Agile product management experience
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work with multi-functional teams to solve complex problems
  • Ability to differentiate "what is needed" from "what is wanted"
  • Ability to understand what is required to create a successful application
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Additional Skills & Knowledge
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make analytics decisions that improve quality of requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to bring clarity to complexity and communicate customer needs, architectural requirements, and product goals across cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to ruthlessly prioritize between what we could do and what we should do to best serve our customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
  • Healthcare experience (oncology) preferred
  • Experience with Atlassian product management software, AHA, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Startup experience a plus

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Graduate degree a plus

  • Occasional travel (up to 10%)

  • This is a full-time, salaried position with an expected salary range of $95,000 to $135,000. A competitive salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data
  • Other Compensation: This position may be eligible to participate in the annual management incentive plan
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
