Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Manager/Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. This position is for the role of a Program Integrator. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project integrators within the Program Operations Homeroom. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serve as the liaison between program management and integrated product teams. This individual contributor will work on the Program Integration Team supporting infrastructure and facilities projects. The candidate needs to have demonstrated performance in program integration and execution. They should have an expert level knowledge of all associated program and IPT level program management products such as the PMP, requirements documents and design specifications. They should adhere to NG processes and apply them to working internal projects. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities, and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
  • Plans utilization of space and facilities for program consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds
  • Plans, directs and manages all phases of facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation
  • Planning physical space for program expansion and assuring the availability of hardware and software resources
  • Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules
  • Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope
  • Focal point between the Program and the Facilities Department
  • Arranging security escorts for contractors
  • Work with security to comply with security requirements and IT for data and communication requirements.
  • Coordinate the work of employees and contractors assigned to projects.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 6 years' experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 4 years with Master's degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Current and active DoD Secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years)
  • Ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR)
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Project Management:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 10 years' experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 8 years with Master's degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Current and active DoD Secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years)
  • Ability to attain and maintain program access (PAR)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
  • Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience
  • Facilities related Project Management/Engineering
Salary Range level 3: $72,400 - $108,600 Salary Range level 4: $89,800 - 134,600

Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $89,800 USD - $134,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
