Our Software Engineer role provides diverse work responsibilities and an opportunity to build upon your software programing fundamentals learning different branches of software.  This would include developing new software applications for various manufacturing processes, systems and tests, supporting / troubleshooting of a wide range of existing manufacturing software applications, and design / development for new commercial products.  

The individual will be working with a highly experienced team responsible for developing software solutions and debugging PCBA manufacturing processes, providing input on flow and lean process improvements, working on overall improvements in the manufacturing engineering team areas and finding new and innovative software solutions/ technology advancements within a manufacturing environment.

The position requires individuals to be on-site providing support of the manufacturing operation and in working with others on new project development. However, remote work arrangements are possible on occasion depending on the on-premises support availability and overall project development conditions.


As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop manufacturing software programs and tools on a variety of system platforms.  
  • Develop software solutions and debugging manufacturing processes, providing input on flow lean process and overall improvements to the manufacturing software team.
  • Interfacing with technology engineering teams on new product development ensuring they are integrated into the manufacturing production process meeting all critical manufacturing requirements.
  • Engauge manufacturing operators, technicians, floor managers on implementing new software solutions, systems, and resolving existing manufacturing software issues.
  • Provide software support across multiple work centers, platforms, and systems.
  • Perform Third Part Code Reviews to determine defect root cause and corrective actions.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in software design, development, and application.
  • Experience in software systems and/or programming object-oriented code C/C++/C#, Python, including university project and classroom work.
  • Experience in relational databases, and design patterns as well as other languages such as VB.net, Java, XAML, HTML5
  • Experience using software debugging tools; emulators, debuggers
  • Have familiarity with software source control, bug tracking, and build processes
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements
  • Demonstrated problem solving and working cross functionality teams
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Bently Nevada product line
