As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer , you will be responsible for:
Lead Manufacturing Engineer
To develop and implement test systems for the manufacturing of instruments and test equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of manufacturing principals and be able to work in a cross functional team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
To Work on manufacturing systems. Individuals in this area will be specializing primarily in Manufacturing systems.
Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
Driving machining and utilization improvements
Works together with business leaders to
To Specify needs, communicate about the project approach, and present outcomes of research done.
Delivers products as part of a team.
Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
Additional Roles:
Develop PLC software (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contacts preferred) for machine control to meet defined performance requirements for internal test software
Design user interface – HMI (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contacts preferred)
Develop complete electrical schematics.
Meet required timing for engineering design release
Vendor qualification and interface.
Technical support of manufacturing
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing.
Experience with strong machining processes and fundamentals for turning, milling, Multi -tasking, and EDM.
Able to demonstrate mechanical design ability including an understanding of work holding design principals for jig and fixture creation.
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Systems Engineering.
Desirable
Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contacts preferred)
Able to write significant, complex code
Able to troubleshoot machinery related problems using PLC
Coding experience
Able to write code in C# or .NET
Basic understanding of LabVIEW programs
Able to rapidly troubleshoot machine related problems
