Georgia-Pacific’s Building Products segment is seeking a Business Solution Leader to join its Catalyst transformation program. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for driving transformation in the areas of Sales & Operations Planning and Sales & Operations Execution, focusing on: process, collaboration, talent, and technology as vehicles for change. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset, be able to effectively influence & lead teams, and develop profit-based strategies supporting our commercial and operations capabilities. This role has direct exposure to the manufacturing sites, as well as to executive and senior-level leadership. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Experience with running an S&OP / S&OE cycle that creates long term value profitably managing tradeoffs between service, cost, and asset efficiency across multiple time horizons (weekly/monthly/annual)
  • Knowledge and practice in Demand Planning, Supply Balancing, Inventory Replenishment, and Production Scheduling & linking these functions within the S&OP cycle
  • Identification of key metrics within each business that facilitate supply chain efficiency and deliver superior customer experience
  • Incorporation of a standardized S&OP process into the businesses leveraging cross capability collaboration and alignment 
  • Implementation of best practices supporting the S&OP process using internal and external resources where profitable
  • Continuous exploration of opportunities to transform the S&OP capability using data, processes, and technology as vehicles for value creation
  • Solid understanding of functional S&OP areas and how they are connected (Demand Planning, Supply Balancing, Inventory Replenishment, and Production Scheduling)
  • Experience with S&OP and supply chain planning concepts and best practices (Statistical Forecasting, Forecast Value Add, Footprint Optimization, Inventory Management, S&OP Review Meetings, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities, including the ability to clearly define problems, collect data from a variety of sources, establish facts, draw valid/profitable conclusions, and influence others through effective communication

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or another business-related field
  • Previous experience in a role(s) with a focus on financial analysis, including accounting, strategy, economic thinking
  • Experience facilitating & influencing an S&OP functional area within an industrial manufacturing environment, such as, but not limited to: Demand Planning, Supply Planning/Optimization, Scheduling/Execution, and/or Inventory/Replenishment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS SharePoint

What Will Put You Ahead

  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • Industry Manufacturing Experience 
  • Experience planning in commodity-based trading markets
  • Experience using Infor’s IBP solution or a comparable ERP solution
