Position Summary: The Department of Communication and Media Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College seeks to hire a one-year visiting assistant professor with expertise in public relations and new media. ABD applicants with the degree near completion will be considered, but a Ph.D. in hand is preferred. Applicants should demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate will teach courses in public relations, social media, business and professional communication and possibly also public speaking. The candidate will also serve as faculty adviser the student public relations club. Applicants with professional experience are especially desired.
