About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work on the Support and Enablement team within Hybrid Environments.  This role will be focused on supporting Cloud components, hosted applications and workloads running on various Public and Private Cloud providers and technologies, including Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Redis and Tanzu App Service (TAS).

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Perform analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems, and use quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
  • Work with hosting tenants to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes, as well as create and publish documentation, FAQ's, and training materials
  • Monitoring request and incident ticket queues in order to properly triage, troubleshoot, and ensure timely resolution to questions and issues
  • Capturing, reporting, and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities for process and technical improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud computing technologies

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting applications/workloads running on a large-scale Public Cloud service provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)/Tanzu App Service (TAS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing and PaaS design principles
  • Knowledge and experience in containerization technologies is a plus
  • Experience supporting large enterprise shared hosting platforms
  • Knowledge and understanding of Splunk
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Agile experience
  • Cloud Certified

  • Ability to provide and work from a home office
  • Participate in an support on-call rotation and potentially work outside of normal business hours
