Our client, a well-established company is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing team in Chantilly, VA. This is a temp-to-perm position with an excellent benefits package and team-oriented work environment. In general, we are looking for candidates, who have experience with invoice and payment processing at another small to medium-sized organization. Work from a local office most of the days but could be hybrid at some point. Accounts Payable Functions:

  • A thorough understanding of accounting principles and balance sheet reconciliation is required along with advanced Excel skills/experience.  
  • Providing general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, and filing electronic and hard copies.
  • Assist with calculations for various pay types (bonus and sales commissions)
  • Reconciliation of various accounts in relation to expenses (prepaid expenses and accrued expenses)
  • Revenue Share Payments and Revenue Share Accrual Files
  • Communicate with the client throughout the month as necessary.
  • Maintaining file records up to date by handling changes in status in a timely manner.


Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting a business in a general office/Accounting capacity
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail; mature, professional interaction with employees, guests, and business contacts
  • Ability to work independently, make good decisions, prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
