Job Description
The successful leader will oversee a team responsible for FP&A and strategic finance activities for all of Aetna’s Underwriting, Actuarial, and Transformation Services functions. The Lead Director will help support business case validation, prioritization, capital deployment and work across P&Ls to project cost and benefits. They will also manage the expense profile of all Underwriting and Actuarial FTEs and spend for the critical Healthcare Benefits (HCB) function.

This position will be responsible to:

• Lead close and variance reporting and insights for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
• FP&A responsibilities and business case management, as well as reporting KPIs and progress against the program’s goals. KPIs to inform rebalancing of portfolio and investment decision making by finance and business leadership.
• Communicate and simplify decision making for upper-level management via ad hoc requests and analyses aggregated and managing across matrixed departments, lines of business and segments.
• Create and enhance use of accurate and actionable analytics to suggest business leadership decision-making. Provide senior leadership transparency and insights
• Build, develop, and lead a broad team of individuals at various levels – including Managers and individual analytical contributors through FP&A reporting, insights and business case assessments, pilots, projects, and implementations

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
8+ years progressive finance, consulting, healthcare or other aligned experience
Strong Analytical and Problem Solving

Proven ability to:
Manage cross-functional matrixed partners and stakeholders
Oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines
