What we do:

The Logic Technology Development (LTD) organization delivers the latest process technology innovations to drive Intel's amazing product roadmap. To maintain the Fast and Furious pace of technology, Intel must continue to install the latest generation of equipment into our development factories. The Foundry Product Integration Engineer will support product development on all foundry silicon technology aspects.

What you will do:

  • Support product development on all foundry silicon technology aspects from process definition, IP and product design execution, modeling and design rules, tape in acceptance, mask tapeout, through wafer manufacturing. Drive LTD's response to customer requests and issues for process technology and manufacturing.

  • Support customer engagement on technology evaluation, enabling customer content on test-chip and multi-product shuttle silicon designs. Own all design / yield / performance issues on customer content and drive for solutions through collaboration with TD development teams. Support foundry technology qualification for customer.

  • Own all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) business process for customer to ensure successful NPI tape-out and lot delivery, including NPI sign-off criteria, product tape-out, lot planning, execution and tracking, lot health status summary based on inline, device performance, yield, reliability and variability. Lead trouble-shooting activities for all product tape-out issues and drive for solutions. Own customer communication on NPI status.

  • Own customer product lots and ensure on-schedule delivery and meeting customer commitments. Collaborate with LTD process module, integration and yield teams to drive all capacity, yield and performance improvement activities for customer's product. Help customer debug yield / performance issues and drive for solutions. Own customer communication on product lot status and process improvement roadmap.

  • Be the point of contact for customer and handle all customer requests on test content and product. Collaborate with TD teams to define action items and deliver solutions.

  • Analyze fab metrology, defect, E-test, and yield process data, silicon-to-simulation analysis versus variability targets, layout effects, design rule assessments, and product parametric correlation to electrical monitor structures to drive product/process solutions and optimize product yield and performance.

  • Support developing business processes and systems to facilitate LTD's response to customer requests and issues for process technology development and manufacturing from customer technology evaluation through design and manufacturing. Drive implementation of foundry customer service best practices.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Masters in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of strong customer orientation and customer service experience

  • Semiconductor foundry experience; should include wafer foundry manufacturing and fabless product development.

  • Applied industrial experience in at least one of the following technical areas:
    - Semiconductor process integration, device physics, architecture and integration, and interconnect development on leading edge technology nodes
    - IC wafer fabrication process engineering, manufacturing systems, semiconductor materials, and wafer test (e.g. fabrication areas may include photolithography and advanced patterning, thin film deposition, planarization, defect metrology or spectroscopy).

  • Experience of foundry customer interface and owning foundry NPI activities and trouble-shooting tape-out issues.

  • Experience of analyzing product data including inline, e-test and SORT data, finding failure root cause and inline indicator and driving for solutions. Knowledge on inline inspection method, electrical test structures and SORT programs.

  • Process Design Kit (PDK) silicon model target generation and use, silicon-to-simulation correlation, and test structure design, and electrical characterization.
