In this role :   In this role, you will be part of the Architecture, Strategy, and Consulting (ASC) team within  Enterprise Architecture in the Chief Technology Office. This role is posted with a functional job title of Marketing(MarTech) and Customer Relationship and Engagement Principal Architect; however, the Wells Fargo job title is Principal Engineer.

As part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO),  the Architecture, Strategy, and Consulting (ASC) Team is responsible for Consumer architecture to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our customers across LOBs and products as well as architecture for Customer Journey/Experiences and Consumer Data and Engagement Platforms (CDEP). CDEP architecture includes Marketing and Lead Enablement platforms,  strategic consumer data platforms for customer insights and personalization, and Marketing/Sales Experiences.  

The senior technical professional within the Enterprise Architecture group is responsible for Product Line Architecture for an assigned portfolio of applications involving Marketing, Lead Enablement, and CRM Platforms and the associated business-technology strategies. This Principal Architect role will partner closely with Marketing Technology executives within CDEP and various Lines of Business and Technology teams as well as other CRM architects and architects and engineering leads for key interfacing platforms.  

The Product Line Architect exhibits leadership to drive a product line vision, translate business demands to product capabilities and develops a target architecture roadmap that supports consumer/client consumption. A successful candidate possesses business & financial acumen to advise on product line investment planning, conducts research & analysis to recommend the business value of new and emerging technologies and constructs product line architectural specifications. The Product Line Architect will create architecture that drives towards simplification, enterprise grade, build to consume solutions that drive enterprise rationalization.

This role is a key liaison with internal teams such as financial product development, operations, marketing, digital product development, design, technology, legal, risk and compliance. Experience in Cloud, Data, DevSecOps, Domain Driven Design, Unified Modeling Language, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF) is foundational to the role.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 5+ years of experience creating strategy.
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  •  Knowledge on Product Thinking , Research and Analysis , Research and Analysis, Financial Analysis and Roadmapping
  • Understanding and background in supporting Marketing (MarTech) platforms providing capabilities in  campaign and offer management, marketing content, microsites, personalization, customer engagement and decision engines, audience targeting
  • Understanding of relational database and Salesforce or SaaS data schemas
  • Salesforce or Dynamics experience
  • Background in Customer Relationship Management and Engagement platforms
  • Experience designing end to end technical solutions
  • Data transmission, transformation, and translation tool experience
  • Experience in streaming/event based architecture such as Kafka

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
  • Ability to provide and work from a home office
